Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of modified Danggui Sini tang combined with warmingneedle moxibustion on knee osteoarthritis. Methods: A total of 60 patients with knee osteoarthritis were divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oral administration of celecoxib capsules, and the study group was treated with modified Danggui Sini tang combined with warming- needle moxibustion. The degree of pain in the two groups was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), and the knee joint function in the two groups was evaluated by Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index(WOMAC). The clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the scores of VAS and WOMAC in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);after treatment, the above two scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 93.33% in the study group, higher than that of 73.33% in the control group(P<0.05). During treatment,no obvious adverse reactions were found in both groups. Conclusion:The therapy of modified Danggui Sini tang combined with warming- needle moxibustion can significantly improve the knee joint function of patients with knee osteoarthritis, reduce the degree of pain, and improve the curative effect, with great safety.
