Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Niaoganning granules combined with ceftazidime for urinary tract infection and its effect on urinary heparin binding protein(U-HBP). Methods:A total of 98 cases of patients with urinary tract infection were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intravenous infusion of ceftazidime, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Niaoganning granules based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of serum inflammatory factors,U-HBP and urine white blood cell count(U-WBC) before and after treatment in the two groups were compared;the disappearance time of symptoms, the clinical effects and the incidences of adverse reactions after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.92% in the treatment group, higher than that of 79.59% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,U- HBP,U- WBC and the levels of interleukin- 6(IL- 6),interleukin- 8(IL- 8), tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) and procalcitonin(PCT) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);U-HBP,U-WBC and the levels of IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α and PCT in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the disappearance time of frequent urination, urgent urination, urodynia and fever in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidences of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion:The application of Niaoganning granules combined with ceftazidime has a good clinical effect in treating urinary tract infection, which can not only improve the clinical symptoms and relieve discomfort in urethra, but also reduce inflammatory factors without increasing the adverse reactions.
