Abstract：Glioma is a common primary malignant tumor with poor prognosis，which has become a recognized problem in the medical field. At present， the clinical treatment of glioma is mainly surgery supplemented by chemotherapy and other measures. However， the recurrence rate after surgery is high， chemotherapeutic drugs are difficult to pass through the blood- brain barrier， and there are many adverse reactions， resulting in the unsatisfactory treatment effect of glioma. Traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of definite curative effect， long- lasting effect and relative safety in antitumor. Alkaloids are important anti-tumor active components. This paper reviews the research progress of anti-glioma effect of alkaloid traditional Chinese medicine at home and abroad in recent years，in order to provide basis for the development of anti-glioma drugs.
