Clinical Study on Point Injection with Metoclopramide Combined with Point Pressing and Application for Prevention of Nausea and Vomiting in Patients Undergoing Chemo⁃ therapy of Gastric Cancer
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of point injection with metoclopramide combined with point pressing and application for prevention of nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing chemotherapy of gastric cancer. Methods: A total of 180 cases of patients undergoing chemotherapy of gastric cancer were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 90 cases in each group. The control group was given chemotherapy and ondansetron, and the observation group was additionally treated with point injection with metoclopramide combined with point pressing and application based on the treatment of the control group. The degree of nausea, vomiting, quality of life and scores of Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS) were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the degree of nausea in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The remission rate of vomiting was 81.11% in the observation group, higher than that of 64.44% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, scores of quality of life and KPS in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of point injection with metoclopramide combined with point pressing and application can significantly relieve nausea and vomiting of patients undergoing chemotherapy of gastric cancer, and improve their quality of life.
