Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of prescription of Shuyu pills combined with umbilical moxibustion for cancer- related fatigue(CRF) due to lung cancer. Methods: A total of 80 cases of CRF patients with lung cancer with dual deficiency of qi and blood syndrome were selected as the study subjects and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the treatment group was additionally treated with prescription of Shuyu pills combined with umbilical moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one months. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment,the changes in scores of Chinese medicine syndromes and Cancer Fatigue Scale(CFS) in the two groups were observed. Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of clinical effect was 97.5% in the treatment group and 67.5% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After trewatment, the CFS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);the CFS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores including tiredness, short breath and lazy to talk, insomnia and palpitation, and dizziness and dizzy vision in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05); the above four Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Prescription of Shuyu pills combined with umbilical moxibustion for patients with CRF due to lung cancer can improve their clinical symptoms and quality of life.
