Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Guipi tang combined with aripiprazole for schizophrenia with heart- spleen deficiency syndrome. Methods: A total of 70 cases of patients with schizophrenia were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given the oral administration of aripiprazole tablets, and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Guipi tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for 12 weeks. Clinical effects as well as scores of schizophrenia-related syndromes in Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS),the Scale of Social Function in Psychosis Inpatients(SSPI),and the Self-Perceived Burden Scale (SPBS) were observed and compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 82.86% in the observation group and 57.14% in the observation group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of PANSS in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the SSPI scores were significantly increased(P<0.01);the improvement of PANSS and SSPI scores in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.01). After treatment, scores of physical, emotional, and financial support in SPBS in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the above three scores in the observation were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion: modified Guipi tang has a significantly curative effect in the treatment of schizophrenia with heart- spleen deficiency syndrome, and it can effectively improve clinical symptoms and social function, and reduce self-perceived burden.
