Clinical Study on Long- Snake Moxibustion Combined with Acupuncture Therapy for Sequelae of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease of Cold- Damp Stagnation and Coagulation Type
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of long- snake moxibustion combined with acupuncture therapy for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease of cold- damp stagnation and coagulation type. Methods: A total of 80 cases of patients with pelvic inflammatory disease of cold- damp stagnation and coagulation type were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given oral administration of Shaofu Zhuyu granules, and the treatment group was treated with long- snake moxibustion combined with acupuncture therapy. Both groups were treated for one course, with four weeks being a course. After treatment, the clinical effects in the two groups were observed. Before and after treatment, the changes in Chinese medicine syndrome scores and inflammatory indexes levels in the two groups were compared. Results: The total clinical effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group and 87.5% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference (P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores including abdominal pain, excessive white leukorrhea and lumbosacral spinal soreness and weakness between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),neutrophil percentage and white blood cell counts between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,hs-CRP,neutrophil percentage and white blood cell counts in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the indexes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Long- snake moxibustion combined with acupuncture therapy can improve the clinical effect of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease of cold- damp stagnation and coagulation type, effectively suppress inflammatory responses in the body, and improve symptoms and local signs.
