Abstract： Professor YE Wei has been engaged in the clinical work of spleen and stomach diseases for more than 20 years，and is good at integrated Chinese and western medicine diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Through summarizing his clinical experience， Professor YE believes that the incidence of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome is closely related to the liver and spleen. The treatment has always focused on the argument of “spleen deficiency as the foundation，liver depression as the pivot，and pathogenic dampness as the key”. The disease is mainly treated by the principle of strengthening the spleen，soothing the liver and removing dampness. The commonly used prescriptions include Shenling Baizhu powder， prescription for painful diarrhea，etc.，with a remarkable clinical efficacy.
