Abstract: Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Chinese medicine sequential therapy on pediatric secretory otitis media. Methods:A total of 200 children with secretory otitis media were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group according to their admission numbers, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the observation group received Chinese medicine sequential therapy based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and the degree of recovery of inflammatory factors of middle ear effusion were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 96.00% in the observation group, significantly higher than that of 79.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6) and interleukin-10(IL-10) of middle ear effusion in both groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The Chinese medicine sequential therapy has a significant therapeutic effect on pediatric secretory otitis media, which can effectively control inflammation and improve Chinese medicine symptoms.
