Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Tongluo prescription combined with speech rehabilitation training for aphasia after stroke. Methods： A total of 120 patients with aphasia after stroke were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with speech rehabilitation training， and the observation group was treated with Huoxue Tongluo prescription combined with speech rehabilitation training. The language ability， aphasia quotient(AQ)， neurological function， cognitive function， and ability of verbal communication before and after treatment and clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group，higher than that of 83.33% in the control group(P＜ 0.05). After treatment，the scores of Chinese Functional Communication Profile(CFCP)，AQ，Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and Chinese Rehabilitation Research Center Standard Aphasia Examination(CRRCAE) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the scores of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) was decreased；after treatment，the scores of CFCP，AQ，MoCA and CRRCAE in the observation group were higher than those in the control group， and the NIHSS was lower(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Huoxue Tongluo prescription combined with speech rehabilitation training has an obvious curative effect on aphasia after stroke， which can effectively improve the language ability，neurological function，cognitive function and ability of verbal communication.
