Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of Qingre Jiedu tang combined with Xiaoyao pills for acne complicated with melasma and its effects on toll like receptor 2(TLR2) and interleukin-17(IL-17) in serum. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with acne complicated with melasma were selected as the research objects and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine， and the observation group was additionally treated with Qingre Jiedu tang combined with Xiaoyao pills based on the treatment of the control group. Scores of Chinese medicine syndrome， Global Acne Grading System(GAGS) and Melasma Area and Severity Index(MASI)， as well as levels of TLR2 and IL- 17 in serum were compared between the two groups before and after treatment，and the clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were evaluated. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 93.3% in the observation group， higher than that of 70.0% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，scores of Chinese medicine syndrome，GAGS and MASI as well as the levels of TLR2 and IL-17 in serum in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the above indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Qingre Jiedu tang combined with Xiaoyao pills has a defined curative effect in the treatment of acne complicated with chloasma， and can reduce skin lesion degree，melasma area and inflammatory factors with few adverse reactions.
