Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Ziyin Liyan tang combined with budesonide aerosol inhalation on curative effects， inflammatory responses and immune function in patients with chronic pharyngitis of kidney yin deficiency type. Methods：A total of 90 patients with chronic pharyngitis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment methods， with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given budesonide inhalation powder，and the observation group was additionally given Ziyin Liyan tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and symptom disappearance time in the two groups were observed. Before and after treatment， the changes of Chinese medicine syndrome score，serum inflammatory factors，including tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)， hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and interleukin-6(IL-6)，and T lymphocyte subsets were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 91.1% in the observation group，and 77.8% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the disappearance time of dry and itchy throat，mucosal congestion， hoarseness and throat pain in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the serum levels of hs-CRP，IL-6 and TNF- α in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above three levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the values of CD3+，CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the CD8 + values were decreased. The values of CD3 + and CD4 + in the two groups and values of CD8 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the observation group were compared with those before treatment， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the values of CD3 +，CD4 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，and the CD8 + value was lower，differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Ziyin Liyan tang combined with budesonide aerosol inhalation has a significant curative effect on patients with chronic pharyngitis of kidney yin deficiency type，which can alleviate the clinical symptoms，reduce the level of inflammatory factors and improve the immune function.
