Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Bufei Huayu tang on serum tumor markers and immune function in senile patients with non- small cell lung cancer after postoperative chemotherapy. Methods：A total of 98 cases of senile patients with early- stage non- small cell lung cancer were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 49 cases in each group. Both groups were given radical operation of lung cancer and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy； the control group was given routine symptomatic treatment including antiemetics， and the observation group was additionally treated with Bufei Huayu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)， carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125) and cytokeratin fragment 19(CYFRA21- 1) in serum before and after treatment in the two groups were compared；the levels of CD3+，CD4+，CD8+ and CD4+/CD8+ were detected； the changes in Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy- General(FACT- G) scores in the two groups were compared. Results：After treatment，the levels of CEA，CA125 and CYFRA21-1 in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of CD3 + ， CD4 + and CD4 +/CD8 + in the observation group were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05)； the levels of CD3+，CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the control group were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05). After treatment，FACT-G scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of Bufei Huayu tang for senile patients with non- small cell lung cancer after postoperative chemotherapy can effectively reduce the levels of serum tumor markers，and improve their immune function and quality of life.
