Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Shugan Yangxue tang combined with estrogenprogesterone cycle therapy for premature ovarian failure(POF) of kidney deficiency and liver depression type. Methods：A total of 60 cases of POF patients of kidney deficiency and liver depression type were divided into the control group and the observation group according to simple randomization method， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given estrogen- progesterone cycle therapy with estradiol valerate tablets and dydrogesterone tablets，and the observation group was additionally treated with Bushen Shugan Yangxue tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for six months. Chinese medicine syndrome scores， sex hormone levels and B- ultrasound examination indexes before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared； adverse reactions in the two groups were recorded. Results：The total effective rate was 86.67% in the observation group，higher than that of 66.67% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of estradiol(E2) were increased (P＜0.05)；the levels of FSH and LH in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the level of E2 was higher(P＜0.05). After treatment， the ovarian volume and endometrial thickness in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the antral follicle count was grew(P＜0.05)； the ovarian volume and endometrial thickness in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the antral follicle count was more(P＜0.05). During treatment， no serious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion：The therapy of Bushen Shugan Yangxue tang combined with estrogen-progesterone cycle therapy has a significant curative effect in treating POF of kidney deficiency and liver depression type， which can effectively relieve clinical symptoms，regulate sex hormone levels and improve ovarian function with high safety.
