Clinical Study on Xiao'er Feire Kechuan Granules Combined with Routine Western Medicine for Children with Bronchitis with Wind-Heat Invading the Lung Syndrome
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Feire Kechuan granules combined with routine western medicine for children with bronchitis with wind-heat invading the lung syndrome and its effect on levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin(PCT) in serum. Methods:A total of 70 cases of children with bronchitis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment of western medicine, and the observation group was treated with Xiao'er Feire Kechuan granules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for seven days. The disappearance time of symptoms and signs, the levels of PCT and CRP in serum and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 100% in the observation group and 82.86% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the disappearance time of fever, cough and pulmonary rales in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of PCT and CRP in serum between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of PCT and CRP in serum in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of PCT and CRP in serum in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on routine treatment of western medicine, the additional application of Xiao'er Feire Kechuan granules has a significant curative effect in treating children with bronchitis with windheat invading the lung syndrome, which can effectively inhibit inflammatory responses in the body of children, and accelerate the improvement of disease.
