Effect of Kangxian Yixin Prescription Combined with Western Medicine on Expres⁃ sions of High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein in Serum,Endothelin-1 and NT-ProBNP in Patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Kangxian Yixin prescription combined with western medicine on the levels of heart function and serum related factors in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Methods:A total of 94 cases of DCM patients were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the observation group was additionally treated with Kangxian Yixin prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for six months. The changes in the heart function indexes including left ventricular end- diastolic diameter(LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and fractional shortening(FS), as well as the levels of endothelin-1(ET-1),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in serum and N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT- proBNP) before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the LVEDD values in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the values of LVEF and FS were increased, differences being significant(P< 0.05);LVEDD value in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the indexes of LVEF and FS were higher, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of ET-1,NTproBNP and hs-CRP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the above three levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Kangxian Yixin prescription combined with western medicine for DCM can improve heart function and vascular endothelial function, and relieve the inflammatory state.
