Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Chinese medicine fumigation combined with edaravone for stroke and its effect on inflammatory factors. Methods:A total of 150 patients with stroke who were admitted to the First People's Hospital of Jiashan from April 2019 to April 2021 were randomly divided into the control group and the experiment group, with 75 cases in each group. The control group was treated with edaravone, and the experiment group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine fumigation based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and Chinese medicine syndrome scores, defects of neurological function, indexes of neuron injury and inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate in the experiment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of Chinese medicine syndrome and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the decreases in the experiment group were larger than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of insulin- like growth factor- 1(IGF- 1) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of neuron-specific enolase(NSE),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),lipoproteinassociated phospholipase A2(Lp- PLA2), tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α), pentraxin 3(PTX3) and interleukin- 10(IL- 10) were decreased(P<0.05),and the improvement effect of the above indexes in the experiment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Chinese medicine fumigation combined with edaravone has a good clinical effect on patients with stroke, which can effectively improve the defects of neurological function and reduce the inflammatory responses.
