Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Qingre Xingqi Xiaozhang method for chronic pancreatitis of liver constraint transforming into fire type. Methods： A total of 86 cases of patients with chronic pancreatitis were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with symptomatic treatment，and the observation group was additionally treated with Qingre Xingqi Xiaozhang method based on the treatment of the control group. Chinese medicine syndrome scores，pancreatic function indexes and inflammatory factors before and after treatment， as well as clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 93.02% in the observation group， higher than that of 74.42% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，symptom scores of bitter taste in the mouth and dry mouth，eructation with fetid odor and acid swallowing，vexation，agitation and irascibility，scurrying pain in both sides of the chest，abdominal fullness and distention，constipation，and reddish urine as well as the total scores in the two groups were lower those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of fasting blood glucose， triglyceride， lipase， amylase and urinary amylase in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the decrease range in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of C-reactive protein，interleukin(IL)-6 and IL- 8 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： For patients with chronic pancreatitis of liver constraint transforming into fire type， Qingre Xingqi Xiaozhang method can improve their pancreatic function， reduce inflammatory responses， and improve clinical effects.
