Abstract： Objective： To observe the effects of Qingre Zhuyu tang on penile hemodynamics and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) in patients with typeⅢB chronic prostatitis complicated with erectile dysfunction. Methods：A total of 107 cases of patients with typeⅢB chronic prostatitis complicated with erectile dysfunction were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the sealed envelope method，with 53 and 54 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with vardenafil，and the observation group was additionally treated with Qingre Zhuyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of prostatic transforming growth factor- β1(TGF-β1)，monocyte chemoattractant protein- 1(MCP- 1)， platelet- derived growth factor- BB(PDGF- BB) and the indexes of penile hemodynamics and urodynamics before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results： When compared with those before treatment， TGF- β1， MCP- 1， PDGF-BB，peak systolic velocity(PSV)，maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP) and prostate symptom scores after treatment in the two groups were decreased(P＜0.05)，and the levels of end diastolic velocity (EDV)，resistance index(RI)，average urinary flow rate(AFR)，changes in maximum urinary flow rate(MFR) and international evectile function index scores were increased(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of MCP-1，PDGF-BB，TGF-β1，PSV，MUCP and prostate symptom scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the levels of AFR，MFR，EDV，RI and international erectile function index scores were higher(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 92.59% in the observation group， higher than that of 75.47% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Vardenafil combined with Qingre Zhuyu tang can effectively treat patients with type ⅢB chronic prostatitis complicated with erectile dysfunction by reducing the levels of prostatic factors and improving erectile function.
