Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of modified Buyang Huanwu tang and Guanxinning tablets combined with donepezil for vascular dementia. Methods：A total of 100 cases of patients with vascular dementia were selected and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 50 cases in each group. The study group was treated with modified Buyang Huanwu tang and Guanxinning tablets combined with donepezil，and the control group was treated with donepezil. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The scores of Mini- Mental State Examination (MMSE)，Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA) and Quality of Life(QOL) before and after treatment and the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 98.00% in the study group，higher than that of 84.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of MMSE and MoCA in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜ 0.05)，and the scores of MMSE and MoCA in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of vigor，appetite，fatigue，sleep and activities of daily living in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Modified Buyang Huanwu tang and Guanxinning tablets combined with donepezil has a good curative effect in treating vascular dementia，which can improve cognitive ability and quality of life.
