Effect of Thumb-Tack Needle for Subcutaneous Embedding Combined with Auricular Point Therapy on Pain During the Latent Phase of the First Labor Period and on Pregnancy Outcome
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of thumb-tack needle for subcutaneous embedding combined with auricular point therapy on pain during the latent phase of the first labor period and its influence on pregnancy outcome. Methods:A total of 200 cases of pregnant women were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the order of hospital delivery. In the control group, pregnant women were accompanied by Doulas one to one, and guided Lamazza breathing method, and they carried out natural delivery. The treatment group was treated with thumb-tack needle for subcutaneous embedding combined with auricular point therapy based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared, and the duration of labor, delivery types, postpartum bleeding rate and neonatal asphyxia rate were observed. Results:In patients who underwent vaginal delivery, the total effective rate was 83.87% in the treatment group and 67.05% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, there were no significant differences in the duration of the first stage of labor, the duration of the second stage of labor, the duration of the third stage of labor and the total duration of labor between the two groups(P>0.05). The rate of water birth was 15.00% in the treatment group and 3.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in vaginal delivery rate, forceps delivery rate and cesarean section rate between the two groups (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in postpartum bleeding rate and neonatal asphyxia rate between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion: Thumb- tack needle for subcutaneous embedding combined with auricular point therapy can relieve labor pain during the latent phase of the first stage of labor, improve the rate of water birth, and have no significant impact on labor duration and pregnancy outcome, which provides a relatively comfortable and safe delivery process for pregnant women and improves the quality of delivery.
