Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Zhuyu tang for patients with femoral neck fracture undergoing artificial femoral head replacement. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with femoral neck fracture undergoing artificial femoral head replacement were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the simple randomization method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment after operation, and the observation group was additionally treated with Huoxue Zhuyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. Clinical effects, Harris scores of hip function, Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), the levels of serum inflammatory factors including tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) and interleukin- 6(IL- 6),and the incidence of complications in the two groups were observed. Results:The total clinical effective rate was 100% in the observation group and 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of Harris and VAS between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, Harris scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and VAS scores were decreased, differences being significant(P<0.05); the improvement of scores of Harris and VAS in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in serum between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of TNF- α and IL- 6 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the two indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total incidence of complications was 3.33% in the observation group and 23.33% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Huoxue Zhuyu tang for patients with femoral neck fracture undergoing artificial femoral head replacement can help to restore the hip function, relieve postoperative pain and inflammatory responses, and reduce postoperative complications.
