Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Juanbi Jiening tang combined with needle knife lysis for periarthritis of shoulder of wind- cold fixed impediment type. Methods： A total of 90 cases of patients with periarthritis of shoulder of wind- cold fixed impediment type were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with celecoxib capsules，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Juanbi Jiening tang combined with needle knife lysis based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment， scores of Constant- Murley， Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)， and Chinese medicine syndrome were compared between the two groups. Clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， VAS scores and Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and Constant- Murley scores were increased(P＜0.05)， and the improvement of above three indexes in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Juanbi Jiening tang combined with needle knife lysis has a significant curative effect in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder of wind-cold fixed impediment type，and can effectively improve shoulder joint function and relieve pain.
