Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Huamoyan pills combined with meloxicam tablets for gonarthromeningitis. Methods：A total of 90 cases of patients with gonarthromeningitis were randomly divided into the routine group and the treatment group，with 45 cases in each group. The routine group was given the oral administration of meloxicam tablets and the knee joint rehabilitation，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Huamoyan pills based on the treatment of the routine group. The levels of inflammatory factors in peripheral blood before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The clinical effects， the synovitis recovery and the adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group， higher than that of 77.78% in the routine group(P＜0.05). After treatment，levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF- α)，interleukin- 1β(IL- 1β) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)，as well as scores of hydrops， synovial hyperplasia and synovial blood flow signal in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above three levels and three scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the routine group(P＜0.05). There was no adverse reaction in the two groups during treatment. Conclusion： Huamoyan pills combined with meloxicam tablets for gonarthromeningitis can effectively improve symptoms，and relieve inflammatory responses，with high safety.
