Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Suhuang Zhike capsules combined with azithromycin for mycoplasma pneumonia in children. Methods: A total of 98 cases of children with mycoplasma pneumonia were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment including relieving cough and asthma, and cooling; the control group was treated with azithromycin, and the observation group was additionally treated with Suhuang Zhike capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 10 days. The clinical effects and the disappearance time of clinical symptoms and signs in the two groups were compared. The levels of procalcitonin(PCT) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) before and after treatment in the two groups were detected, and the adverse reactions in the two groups were recorded. Results: The total effective rate was 98.0% in the observation group, higher than that of 79.6% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the disappearance time of moist rales, asthma, coughing and fever in the observation group were shorter than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of PCT and hs-CRP between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of PCT and hs- CRP in observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Suhuang Zhike capsules combined with azithromycin for mycoplasma pneumonia in children has a good clinical effect, and can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of children and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors, with high safety.
