Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Xuhan Weitong granules combined with quadruple therapy for helicobacter pylori(Hp) positive patients with chronic non- atrophic gastritis with deficiency- cold of the spleen and stomach syndrome. Methods： A total of 126 cases of Hp positive patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis with deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach syndrome were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 63 cases in each group. The control group was treated with bismuth quadruple therapy，and the treatment group was treated with Xuhan Weitong granules combined with quadruple therapy. Both groups were treated for two weeks. The scores of Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale(GSRS) and Chinese medicine syndromes，the Hp eradication rate and the clinical effects in the two groups were observed and compared. Results： The total effective rate was 93.65% in the treatment group， significantly higher than that of 80.95% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，the GSRS scores were compared between the two groups， there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment， the GSRS scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the GSRS scores in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment， the syndrome scores of epigastric pain， desire for warm pressing when pain， vomiting of watery fluid， loose stool， white complexion and lack of warmth in the limbs were compared between the two groups， there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment，the above scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The Hp eradication rate was 90.48% in the treatment group， significantly higher than that of 74.60% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： In the treatment of Hp positive patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis with deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach syndrome，Xuhan Weitong granules combined with quadruple therapy can better decrease GSRS scores，and improve Chinese medicine syndromes，Hp eradication rates and total clinical effects than that of simple quadruple therapy.
