Discussion on Feasibility of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Treating Diabetic Oculomotor Nerve Palsy Based on "Three Parts: Heaven, Earth and Human Being" Point-Combination Theory
Abstract: Oculomotor nerve palsy is one of the common complications of diabetic neuropathy. Its clinical manifestations include ptosis of upper eyelid, inflexible eye movement, blurred vision, diplopia and so on. Prof. YANG Xiaofang summarized the point prescriptions for the treatment of diabetic oculomotor nerve palsy according to the“Three parts:Heaven,Earth And Human Being”Point-Combination Theory, namely,Jingming point(BL1),Tongziliao point(GB1),Qiuhou point(EX- HN7),Sibai point(ST2),Fengchi point(GB20), Wangu point(GB12), Tianzhu point(BL10), Guanyuan point(RN4), Qihai point(RN6), Zhongwan point(RN12),Ganshu point(BL18),Pishu point(BL20),Shenshu point(BL23),Hegu point(LI4), Zusanli point(ST36), Sanyinjiao point(SP6), Taixi point(KI3), Taichong point(LV3) and Guangming point (GB37), which leads to a great therapeutic effect. This paper summarizes the clinical experience of Prof. YANG Xiaofang in order to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of diabetic oculomotor nerve palsy.
