Clinical Study on Jingtong Prescription Combined with Warming-Needle Moxibustion for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy with Cold-Dampness Obstruction Syndrome
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Jingtong prescription combined with warmingneedle moxibustion for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with cold-dampness obstruction syndrome. Methods : A total of 100 cases of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with cold-dampness obstruction syndrome were selected and divided into the experiment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with 20% mannitol combined with meloxicam tablets, and the experiment group was additionally treated with Jingtong prescription combined with warming- needle moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. The scores of Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire(NPQ),neck disability index(NDI),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36) as well as the symptom scores in the two groups were compared. Results:After 3,7 and 14 days of treatment, the NPQ scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the NPQ scores in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group at the same time period(P<0.05). After treatment, the symptom scores and NDI scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the symptom score and NDI score in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the PSQI scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the PSQI score in the experiment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05); the SF- 36 scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the SF- 36 score in the experiment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Jingtong prescription combined with warming-needle moxibustion for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with cold-dampness obstruction syndrome can effectively relieve cervical vertebrae pain and improve cervical spine function, sleep quality and quality of life.
