Abstract： This paper aims to study and analyze the clinical idea of treating painful diseases with the method of acupuncture at umbilical reaction points. Guided by the holographic theory in Qiluoshu and combining the holographic theory in the acquired eight trigrams， the method of acupuncture at umbilical reaction points is brought out by Prof. QI Yong，which is to use the handle of a needle to find the reaction points related to the pain at relevant position of umbilicus，and then penetrate the needle from the reaction points with the tip of the needle towards the location of limb pain，patting the location of pain when it is needed to help move qi， invigorate blood and relieve pain. The therapy of umbilical acupuncture is a commonly used acupuncture method in the treatment of painful diseases，which has the characteristics of simple operation，rapid curative effect and less consumption of needles，and can provide a new idea for acupuncture treatment.
