Abstract： The correlation between the structure and function of mast cells and channels and acupuncture point is an important field and direction of studies on the mechanism of acupuncture. In this paper，the relevant studies on acupuncture in intervening mast cells in recent years were reviewed，and the regulatory effects of acupuncture on mast cells were summarized from the perspectives of tissues in the point area and the degranulation of mast cells of local lesions. The results showed that acupuncture had a bidirectional regulation effect on mast cells，and the effect was closely related to the distribution and state of mast cells. Then，taking mast cell-mediated inflammation as the starting point，the mechanism of the bidirectional regulation of acupuncture on mast cells was analyzed from the perspective of the nature of inflammatory reaction and the role of acupuncture in reinforcing healthy qi and dispelling pathogenic factors，so as to provide a clear direction and idea for the future study of the mechanism of acupuncture on mast cells.
