Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of modified Shenghua Tang combined with oxytocin for vaginal bleeding after medical abortion，and its effect on hemorheology and sex hormones in patients. Methods：A total of 120 cases of patients with vaginal bleeding after medical abortion were divided into two groups according to the random number table method averagelly. The control group was treated with oxytocin injection，and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Shenghua Tang based on the treatment of the control group. Hemorheology indexes and sex hormone levels before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group， higher than that of 85.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of whole blood viscosity， plasma viscosity(PV)， hematocrit(HCT) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels of hemorheology indexes above in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of estradiol(E2) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the levels of progesterone(P) and human chorionic gonadotropin(β- HCG) were decreased(P＜0.05)；the E2 level in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the levels of P and β-HCG were lower(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of modified Shenghua Tang combined with western medicine for vaginal bleeding after medical abortion can enhance the clinical effect，improve the hemorheology indexes and the sex hormone levels.
