Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Lidan Paishi Tablets assisting laparoscopic cholecystectomy for chronic calculous cholecystitis. Methods:A total of 72 cases of patients with chronic calculous cholecystitis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 36 cases in each group. Both groups were given laparoscopic cholecystectomy; the control group was treated with ursodeoxycholic acid on the next day after the surgery, and the observation group was additionally treated with Lidan Paishi Tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for eight weeks. Scores of the livergallbladder damp- heat syndrome, clinical effects and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 94.44% in the observation group and 72.22% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of syndrome scores of distending pain in the rib-side, bitter taste in the morning, and thirst with a desire to drink(P>0.05). After treatment, syndrome scores of distending pain in the rib- side, bitter taste in the morning, and thirst with a desire to drink in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the three scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of complications was 2.78% in the observation group, lower than that of 22.22% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Lidan Paishi Tablets assisting laparoscopic cholecystectomy has a significant curative effect in the treatment of chronic calculous cholecystitis, which can effectively improve traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and reduce the occurrence of complications.
