Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Yishen Tonglin Paishi Tang combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy on urinary tract calculi(UTC). Methods： A total of 80 patients with UTC were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method， with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy，and the treatment group was treated with Yishen Tonglin Paishi Tang after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. The stone removal effect，incidence of complication，traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome score and levels of inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：The stone drainage rate in the treatment group was 97.50%， higher than that of 77.50% in the control group(P＜0.05). The stone discharge time in the treatment group was(5.04 ± 0.45) days， shorter than that of (6.55 ± 0.42) days in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum procalcitonin(PCT) and C-reactive protein(CRP) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of serum PCT and CRP in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).
