Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Chinese medicine enema combined with warming-needle moxibustion on the treatment of chronic pelvic pain(CPP) caused by pelvic adhesion. Methods:Seventy patients with CPP caused by pelvic adhesion were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 35 cases in each group. Both groups were given laparoscopic separation of pelvic adhesion;the control group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine enema and the treatment group was additionally treated with warming-needle moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two menstrual cycles. The pain,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI), Health Survey Short Form(SF- 36) score and the disappearance time of clinical symptoms (lower abdominal drop pain and lumbosacral pain) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the pain and PSQI scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the pain and PSQI scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the SF-36 scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the SF- 36 score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the disappearance time of lower abdominal drop pain and lumbosacral pain in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Chinese medicine enema combined with warming- needle moxibustion has a significant therapeutic effect on the treatment of CPP caused by pelvic adhesion, which can effectively relieve the pain of patients and improve their sleep quality and life quality.
