Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of the therapy of modified Zuojin Pills combined with routine western medicine on reflux esophagitis(RE). Methods:A total of 82 RE patients with liver and stomach depression-heat syndrome were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with Mosapride Citrate Tablets and Omeprazole Enteric-Coated Capsules , and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Zuojin Pills. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Before and after treatment, the symptom scores of liver and stomach depression-heat syndrome and rating of gastroscope were evaluated. The indexes of gastrointestinal autonomic nerve function, including low- frequency(LF) power and high- frequency(HF) power, were detected. The clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated. Results:After treatment, the total clinical effective rate was 95.12% in the treatment group, higher than that of 80.49% in the control group(P<0.05). The symptom scores of liver and stomach depression- heat syndrome in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The improvement in gastric mucosa in the two groups was better than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the improvement in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). The values of LF in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the values of HF were lower, differences being significant (P<0.05);the value of LF in the treatment group was higher and the value of HF in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of modified Zuojin Pills combined with western medicine has a definite curative effect on RE patients with liver and stomach depression-heat syndrome, which can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms, repair the gastric mucosa, and regulate the gastrointestinal autonomic nerve function.
