Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Shexiang Baoxin Pills combined with Kuanxiong Aerosol for angina pectoris(AP). Methods：A total of 114 cases of AP patients were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group ， with 57 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine，and the observation group was additionally treated with Shexiang Baoxin Pills combined with Kuanxiong Aerosol based on the treatment of the control group. Chinese medicine syndrome scores，cardiac function indexes including ejection fraction(EF)，cardiac index (CI)，and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)，and the incidence of cardiovascular events before and after treatment，as well as clinical effects，were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 96.49% in the observation group and 84.21% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference in the comparison of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome scores between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the TCM syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference in the comparison of EF，CI， and NT- proBNP between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，EF，and CI in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and NT- proBNP was decreased(P＜ 0.05)；the improvement of the above indexes in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). During the treatment，there was no cardiovascular event in the observation group， and the incidence of cardiovascular events in the control group was 7.02%，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Shexiang Baoxin Pills combined with Kuanxiong Aerosol has a significant curative effect in treating AP， which can effectively improve cardiac function and Chinese medicine syndromes， and prevent adverse cardiovascular events.
