Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Kuntai capsules combined with low- dose estrogen and progesterone for the menopausal syndrome(MPS) with liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome. Methods:A total of 116 cases of MPS patients with liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 58 cases in each group. The control group was treated with low-dose Estradiol Valerate Tablets and Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Tablets, and the study group was additionally treated with Kuntai capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Changes in Kupperman scores and levels of blood pressure and blood lipid before and after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 91.38% in the study group, higher than that of 75.86% in the control group(P<0.05). Kupperman scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) in the two(TG) and low- density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL- C) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and levels of high- density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL- C) were increased(P<0.05);levels of TC,TG and LDL-C in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and HDL- C level was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Kuntai Capsules combined with low- dose estrogen and progesterone for MPS with liver- kidney yin deficiency syndrome can relieve clinical symptoms of patients, and regulate their levels of blood pressure and blood lipid. groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and SBP and DBP in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).
