Effect of Yijing Huchao Tang on Sex Hormones,Inflammatory Factors and Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients with Infertility Due to Diminished Ovarian Reserve
Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Yijing Huchao Tang on sex hormones, inflammatory factors and pregnancy outcomes in patients with infertility due to diminished ovarian reserve(DOR). Methods: A total of 100 cases of patients with infertility due to DOR were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 48 and 52 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the study group was additionally treated with Yijing Huchao Tang based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment, the levels of sex hormones in serum, inflammatory factors and cytokines, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the ultrasound examination results of ovarian in the two groups were compared. After one-year follow-up, the pregnancy outcomes in the two groups were counted. Results:The pregnancy rate was 61.54% in the study group, higher than that of 41.67% in the control group(P<0.05);the abortion rate was 1.92% in the study group, lower than that of 10.42% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference (P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of estrogen(E2),testosterone(T),luteinizing hormone(LH) and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the E2 levels in the two groups were increased(P<0.05),and the levels of T and LH were decreased(P<0.05), and the FSH level in the study group was decreased(P< 0.05);the E2 level in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the levels of T,LH and FSH were lower(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased(P<0.05), and the scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of endometrial thickness and number of antral follicle between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the endometrial thickness and number of antral follicle in the two groups were increased(P<0.05),and the indexes in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of interleukin- 21(IL- 21), interleukin- 10(IL- 10) and interleukin- 4(IL- 4) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the IL- 21 levels in the two groups were decreased(P<0.05),and the levels of IL-10 and IL-4 were increased(P<0.05);the IL-21 level in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05), and the levels of IL- 10 and IL- 4 were higher(P<0.05). Conclusion: Yijing Huchao Tang for patients with infertility due to DOR can improve their recovery of ovarian function, improve immune function in the body and pregnancy rates,so as to improve the clinical symptoms and pregnancy outcomes.
