Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Xiaoji Zhike Oral Liquid combined with azithromycin for mycoplasma pneumonia(MMP) in children. Methods:A total of 91 cases of MMP children of phlegm- heat obstructing the lung type were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 46 and 45 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with azithromycin, and the study group was treated with Xiao'er Xiaoji Zhike Oral Liquid combined with azithromycin. Both groups were treated for 14 days. Before and after treatment, the maximum expiratory flow at 25% vital capacity(MEF25), the maximum expiratory flow at 50% vital capacity(MEF50), the maximum middle expiratory flow(MMEF25~75), the first second forced expiratory volume/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC) and other lung function indexes,as well as the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor(TNF- α), procalcitonin(PCT) and other inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. The total clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 93.48% in the study group and 77.78% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of MEF25, MEF50, MMEF25~75, and FEV1/FVC between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, MEF25, MEF50, MMEF25~75, and FEV1/FVC in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of each index in the study group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of CRP,IL-6,TNF-α,and PCT between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, levels of CRP, IL- 6, TNF- α, and PCT in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and each index in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P< 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 17.39% in the study group and 15.56% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference(P>0.05). Conclusion:Xiao'er Xiaoji Zhike Oral Liquid combined with azithromycin has a definite curative effect and high safety in treating MMP,which can relieve airway inflammation and improve lung function in children.
