Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of warming- needle moxibustion combined with extracorporeal shock wave for supraspinatus tendinitis and its effect on the improvement of injury. Methods:A total of 112 cases of patients with supraspinatus tendinitis were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 56 cases in each group. The control group was given the oral administration of loxoprofen sodium tablets, and the observation group was additionally treated with warming-needle moxibustion combined with extracorporeal shock wave based on the treatment of the control group. The changes in Constant-Murley Score(CMS) , Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores of pain and abductor muscle strength of shoulder joint before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate of clinical effect was 89.29% in the observation group, and 75.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment and follow- up for three months, the CMS scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the CMS score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group at the same time(P<0.05). After treatment and follow-up for three months,the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at the same time(P<0.05). After treatment and follow- up for three months, the abductor muscle strength of shoulder joint in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment(P< 0.05),and the abductor muscle strength of shoulder joint in the observation group was higher than that in the control group at the same time(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of warming- needle moxibustion combined with extracorporeal shock wave for supraspinatus tendinitis has a definite curative effect,which can improve the pain state of patients,enhance the range of motion of shoulder joints,and increase the abductor muscle strength of shoulder joint.
