Abstract： Objective： To observe the application effect of Sanhuang Ointment combined with Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream on nursing of internal arteriovenous fistulas in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Methods： The medical records of 90 patients undergoing hemodialysis in Hangzhou Xixi Hospital from October 2017 to October 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the chronological order， 41 patients treated from October 2017 to December 2018 were set as the routine intervention group，and 49 patients treated from January 2019 to October 2020 were set as the joint intervention group. The routine intervention group was treated with Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream for internal fistula maintenance， and the joint intervention group was treated with Sanhuang Ointment combined with Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream for internal fistula maintenance. The blood flow of internal fistula， the inner diameter of blood vessel，the infection rate of puncture point of internal fistula，the incidence of complications and the patency rate of internal fistula were compared between the two groups. Results：The blood flow of internal fistula and the inner diameter of blood vessel in the joint intervention group were larger than those in the routine intervention group，differences being significant (P＜0.05). After the first dialysis， and after one month and three months of dialysis，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the infection rates of puncture sites between the two groups(P＞0.05). The incidence of complications was 8.16% in the joint intervention group， lower than that of 24.39% in the routine intervention group (P＜0.05). The patency rate of internal fistula was 91.84% in the joint intervention group， higher than that of 75.61% in the routine intervention group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Sanhuang Ointment combined with Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream can improve the blood flow of internal arteriovenous fistulas in patients undergoing hemodialysis， reduce the incidence of complications， and enhance the patency rate of internal fistula.
