Analysis of Relationship Between Chinese Medicine Biased Constitution and Behavioral Lifestyle in Lingnan Area People Based on Structural Equation Model
Abstract:Objective:To construct a model of the relationship between the Chinese medicine biased constitution and behavioral lifestyle in Lingnan area people, so as to provide a basis for preventing the Chinese medicine biased constitution from the perspective of behavioral lifestyle. Methods: A crosssectional survey was conducted among 1,326 healthy people with General Information Questionnaire and Chinese Medicine Constitution Scale, and structural equation model was used to analyze the relationship between Chinese medicine biased constitution and preference for food, daily routine, physical exercise. Results: A total of 1,285 valid questionnaires were received with a recovery rate of 96.91%. According to the survey , the ranking of constitutions were as follows : balanced constitution , yang-deficiency constitution , qi-deficiency constitution , phlegm-damp constitution , damp-heat constitution , yindeficiency constitution,qi-constraint constitution,blood-stasis constitution, special constitution;in the biased constitution, yang- deficiency constitution was the most, followed by qi- deficiency constitution and phlegm- damp constitution. The results of structural equation model showed that yang- deficiency constitution,qi-deficiency constitution and blood-stasis constitution were correlated with physical exercise (P<0.05); damp- heat constitution and qi- constraint constitution were correlated with daily routine(P< 0.05); phlegm- damp constitution and special constitution were correlated with preference for food(P< 0.05). Conclusion: There is a certain relationship between different behavioral lifestyle and biased constitution, and strengthening the management of behavioral lifestyle can reduce the occurrence of the corresponding biased constitution.
