Abstract： Prof. ZHANG Qi is a famous Chinese medicine practitioner in Jiangsu province and a representative inheritor of Menghe Medical School. He is good at treating endoscopic submucosal gastric dissection(ESD). Prof. ZHANG Qi believes that spleen deficiency is the root of the disease and fire toxin is the branch，and is likely to cause damaged qi to impair the blood and exuberant fire to bleed，and that the disease is mainly of deficiency- excess complex and the deficiency is caused by excess. Prof. ZHANG Qi often adopt the method of draining fire and resolving toxins，and the method of harmonizing the stomach and engendering flesh，and he founds Hewei Yuyang Prescription，which can be modified according to different syndromes. For bleeding after ESD， he emphasizes on stopping bleeding promptly at first. Besides，Prof. ZHANG advocats the comprehensive use of Chinese medicine，acupuncture，moxibustion， Chinese massage，and he also attaches great importance to nursing and prevention of recurrence in daily life，which often achieve satisfactory clinical results.
