Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Paifeng Decoction combined with Gastrodin Injection for cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with cerebral hemorrhage were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with minimally invasive hematoma evacuation and then routine intervention measures. The control group was additionally treated with Gastrodin Injection, and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Paifeng Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. After two- week treatment, the clinical effects, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) scores, Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS) scores and Barthel Index for Activities of Daily Living scores were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 90.00% in the treatment group and 63.33% in the control group, there being significance in the difference when comparing between the two groups(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of NIHSS,GCS and Barthel between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the NIHSS scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores of GCS and Barthel were significantly increased(P<0.05); the improvement of the above three indexes in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Based on the treatment of routine western medicine, modified Paifeng Decoction combined with Gastrodin Injection for cerebral hemorrhage can significantly improve neurological function, activities of daily living and clinical effects.
