Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Yishen Jianpi Huayu Decoction combined with valsartan on chronic kidney disease. Methods： A total of 96 patients with chronic kidney disease were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， with 48 cases in each group. Both groups were given basic treatment. The control group was treated orally with Valsartan Capsules，and the observation group was additionally treated with Yishen Jianpi Huayu Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated， and the immunological indexes and kidney function indexes in the two groups were compared，and the incidence of adverse reactions was observed. Results： The total effective rate was 97.92% in the observation group， higher than that of 85.42% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of CD4 + and CD4 +/ CD8+ in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the CD8+ level was respectively decreased when compared with that before treatment (P＜0.05)；the levels of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，and the CD8+ level was lower (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of 24-hour urinary protein (24 h UP)，urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (SCr) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜ 0.05)，and the levels of 24-hour UP，BUN and SCr in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P＞0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Yishen Jianpi Huayu Decoction combined with Valsartan can improve the immune function and kidney function of patients with chronic kidney disease， with significant clinical effect and high safety.
