Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Jiegu Qili Capsules combined with Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide on femoral neck fracture in convalescent stage and its effect on bone metabolic markers. Methods: A total of 60 cases with femoral neck fracture in convalescent stage were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given intravenous injection with Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide, and the treatment group was treated with Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide combined with Jiegu Qili Capsules. Before and after treatment,the levels of osteocalcin (BGP),bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2),alkaline phosphatase (ALP),nerve growth factor (NGF), platelet- derived growth factor (PDGF) and insulin- like growth factor- 1 (IGF- 1) in both groups as well as the scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were compared. In addition, the clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group, higher than that of 76.67% in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparisons of scores of VAS,ODI and the levels of BMP- 2,ALP,BGP,NGF,PDGF and IGF- 1 between the two groups (P>0.05);after treatment,the scores of VAS and ODI in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), the levels of BMP- 2, ALP, BGP, NGF,PDGF and IGF-1 in the two groups were increased (P<0.05),and the scores of VAS and ODI in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),the levels of BMP-2,ALP,BGP, NGF,PDGF and IGF-1 in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Jieju Qili Capsules combined with Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide has a good clinical effect on femoral neck fracture,which can accelerate the healing process of fracture,well improve the bone metabolic markers,levels of each cytokines,dysfunction and pain.
