Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the application of Compound Schizonepetae Herba Fumigation Agent in assisting external stripping and internal ligation for mixed hemorrhoids. Methods:A total of 80 patients with mixed hemorrhoids were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with external stripping and internal ligation, and were treated with anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs after operation. On the basis of the above treatment, the control group was additionally given sit-bath treatment with Potassium Permanganate Solution from the second day after operation, and the observation group was additionally given sit- bath treatment after the fumigation with Compound Schizonepetae Herba Fumigation Agent, both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The clinical effects, wound healing time, edema subsiding time, and the symptom scores on the second day after operation and 2 weeks after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate was 100% in the observation group, higher than that of 90.00% in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of edema, pain and exudation in the two groups were decreased when compared with those on the second day after operation, and the above symptom scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). The wound healing time and edema subsiding time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of Compound Schizonepetae Herba Fumigation Agent in assisting external stripping and internal ligation for mixed hemorrhoids can reduce postoperative pain, exudation and other symptoms, and shorten the wound healing time and edema subsiding time.
