Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules combined with Acyclovir for infantile herpetic angina of damp- heat toxin accumulation syndrome. Methods： A total of 120 cases of children with herpetic angina of damp- heat toxin syndrome were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Acyclovir，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 5 days. The clinical effects，the improvement time of symptoms， the immune function indexes [immunoglobulin (Ig) A， IgG and IgM]， C- reactive protein (CRP)， interleukin- 6 (IL- 6) and procalcitonin (PCT) in serum before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group， higher than that of 85.00% in the control group (P＜ 0.05). The regression time of herpes，the antipyretic time，the recovery time of appetite and the stopping time of salivation in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The levels of IgA，IgG and IgM in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels of IgA，IgG and IgM in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The levels of CRP，IL-6 and PCT in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the levels of CRP， IL- 6 and PCT in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion：Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules combined with Acyclovir for infantile herpetic angina of damp-heat toxin accumulation syndrome can improve the clinical effect，promote the improvement of symptoms，regulate the body immunity，and reduce the inflammatory responses.
