Study on the Mechanism of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma- Santali Albi Lig⁃ num in Treating Coronary Heart Disease Based on Network Pharmacology
Abstract:Objective:To explore the mechanism of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Santali Albi Lignum in treating coronary heart disease (CHD) by applying the corresponding principles of network pharmacology. Methods:On the basis of the corresponding principles of network pharmacology, the active components and corresponding target proteins were obtained from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systematic Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP) with "Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma" and "Santali Albi Lignum" as the keywords respectively, and the "coronary heart disease" was searched in the database to screen out the potential targets of "Salvia sandalwood" drug pairs that can treat CHD, and then GO analysis was conducted in DAVID database and Matescape database Enrichment analysis of KEGG. Results: By using TCMSP to search, we can get 3 active components of Santali Albi Lignum and 65 active ingredients of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. In the Venn diagram, there are 27 targets for CHD and drug pairs. The enrichment analysis of KEGG and GO indicated that the improvement of CHD by Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma- Santali Albi Lignum may be related to lipid and atherosclerotic pathways, fluid shear stress and atherosclerotic pathways. The results of molecular docking showed that Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma- Santali Albi Lignum could closely combine with CHD related targets. The analysis shows that there may be a synergistic effect against CHD after the compatibility of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Santali Albi Lignum. Conclusion: The process of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma- Santali Albi Lignum in the treatment of CHD involves a variety of effective components, targets and pathways. The results can further provide a reference for the study of the mechanism of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma-Santali Albi Lignum in the treatment of CHD.
