Abstract: Objective: By researching the prescriptions for consumptive disease in three official prescription books revised in the Song Dynasty, and with the help of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System V3.0 to explore the medication rules, prescription rules, and academic thoughts of the Song Dynasty physicians in treating consumptive disease. Methods: According to the literature entries for the treatment of consumptive disease contained in the three official prescriptions of the Song Dynasty, Taiping Huimin Heji Jufang (Beneficial Formulas from the Taiping Imperial Pharmacy), Taiping Shenghui Fang(Formulas from Benevolent Sages Complied During the Taipin Era) and Shengji Zonglu (Comprehensive Recording of Divine Assistance), the information on the prescription and the main symptoms were extracted. Using Excel 2016 to standardize the prescription information into a database, and analyze the prescription based on the TCMICS V3.0. Result: A total of 97 prescriptions and 201 Chinese herbal medicines were screened and sorted out according to the standard of inclusion and expulsion. The analysis of the medication rules showed that the four qi of Chinese herbal medicine used were mainly warm,cold and mild;the five flavors were mainly sweet,bitter and pungent. The channel entry of main three are the spleen channel,lung channel,kidney channel;the efficacy of the drugs are mainly supplementing, warming the interior, and dissipating phlegm, relieving cough and asthma; in terms of the frequency of drug use, the 5 most frequently used drugs are Cinnamomi Cortex, Poria, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle and Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma. Through the analysis of association rules, it was concluded that the most frequently used pair drug was Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma- Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle;the most frequently used triple drug was Poria- Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma- Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle. The prescriptions can be divided into 3 clusters by the K- means clustering algorithm, and the core prescription drugs can be obtained. Conclusion: The prescriptions of physicians in Song Dynasty for consumptive disease had distinct medication rules. Medication revolved around the principles of warming kidney and activating yang, invigorating the spleen and benefiting qi, regulating qi-flowing for eliminating phlegm, nourishing yin and clearing heat.
